- The amount of OSA addition is based on the inflow, the loads of organic pollution, and the ratio of organic microbial nutrition to nitrogen and phosphorus. On the basis of the appropriate ratio between BOD and N/P, one kilogram of OSA can substitute for 5 to 15 kilograms of urea and phosphate.
- After the fine-tuning which is proceeded during the initial using period, the exact amount of OSA can be decided, but OSA is still more economical than nitrogen and phosphorus.
